Songs in the Key of Funk

I designed the promotional flier for Songs in the Key of Funk (after Stevie Wonder), a funk and soul evening that some friends and I were putting on at a local bar. I tried to design it so it could be quickly tweaked for every subsequent event – new colour, head silhouette and details. It was a lot of fun researching old funk and soul LPs and trying to find typefaces and effects that would most closely mimic that aesthetic. There is a typo on the flier, no prizes for finding it.
